Alex`s Railside Restaurant in Sanford

Stopped there for breakfast today. Terrific! Food was perfectly prepared, great service, and fairly priced. Had the belly buster, would stop there again!

Great service, price and portion. For bicyclists, its right off the Pier Marquette rails to trails bicycle path trail. Great homemade pies and great ice cream to boot. Can't miss.

This is the best place for a family to eat homecooked food and not overspend. I am reluctant to tell others about Railside because usually there also isnt a long wait to be seated. The food is great and if you are looking to feel like family and not a number at a chain restaurant then come here!

Very fast service and great real hot Turkey sandwiches

Fish was cold, hashbrowns were oily, coffee was good and service was good.

Simple and clean restaurant with exceptional service. The meal was a little less than expected. My husband had the steak which was tough with a great deal of gristle. The fried shrimp dinner had a plentiful amount of shrimp. Dinners include the salad bar which was simple, fresh and plentiful. One of the soups that came with the salad was extremely salty, the other very bland.

The salad bar was good, the French fries are amazing but the burger I got wasn't very good.

I had the walleye dinner..was fantastic.. waitresses were excellent...

The food was delicious, our waitress was friendly and our food arrived shorter than expected. And all of this in a fairly busy restaurant. Thanks Railside for once again giving us a great place to eat.

Personally I think Alex's Railside is the best restaurant in Sanford. The food is good, the portions are generous and the service is fast and courteous.

We love this place. Have our impromptu high school reunion there when in town. Usually only a couple, but has been 6-7-8 people. . We have fun, gooooood food, nice salad bar. .

Lovely place, lots of railroad memorabilia, excellent staff and wonderful food. My husband had fish and I had all you could eat soup and salad. We were there with family. What a great restaurant and great time with family.

This is a nice little family style restaurant. Their food is always good. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Service is prompt. Rarely do you have to wait to be waited on. They run daily specials, and offer a smaller portions menu for seniors.

Great fries, wonderful service. Prices were fair. Clean where I looked, only iceberg lettuce at the salad bar though. Definitely will go back.

Good people good food

My husband and I ate there for the first time tonight. The soup and salad bar were fine, but kind of sparse. You can get this on it's own for $8.99, which is expensive for what you get. My husband ordered the boneless wings and I ordered the seafood platter. His wings were edible, my platter was not. The seafood was all bland and chewy. Oh and his black coffee was awful. We will not be back.

I attended a party here. The staff was amazing and took great care of our party of 16 ladies! The food was really good and the prices are good too! A few ladies ordered slices of pies and raved about them. If you want to eat at a friendly place with great service and really good food, give this place a try. You won't regret it!!

Had the breakfast special. It was more food then I could eat. It was very fast and the food was very good. The server was excellent. I will go there again.

Not very good food, fish, burgers, and eggs are good. Don't order the Italian Steak Sandwich it was unedible.

Breakfast special is excellent and a real value the money. Diane is a fantastic waitress, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Railside is a great local family establishment. The prices are very inexpensive compared to most of the restaurants in Midland. Staff is very friendly and treat you like family. Their breakfast is very tasty and you get a lot for your money. Best place to stop when you don’t want to spend a lot!
